The great car search!

One of the hardest parts of getting into rally is finding a car.  Ironically, if I had proper financial backing, the options would be pretty simple:  The Subaru Impreza or the Mitsubishi Evo.  But because I don't have the money, and don't really desire the frightening speeds that these light weight 4WD machines deliver, my search takes an exciting turn.  There are literally thousands of cars to choose from.

I have deep respect for the old timer, rear wheel rally drivers of our past, and it is really this style that I would like copy in my own driving.  For this reason I am going to limit my search to rear wheel drive cars.  Besides rear wheel drive I also require the car to be safe, cheap, and readily available on the used market.  Besides that, whatever is offered up on craigslist is my limit!
